Why choose us?
Because, let’s be honest: you have options.
Here are 10 reasons why you should consider Encompass.
Dr. Y specializes in pelvic health. This means she does not divide her time treating other populations. You see a pelvic floor specialist at every visit.
As an occupational therapist, Dr. Y has an extensive understanding of the person-enviornment-occupation triad, meaning she is an expert in understanding how your environment impacts your bowel, bladder, or sexual function.
Patients have referred to Dr. Y as “a body engineer.” She has more than just orthopedic knowledge: she understands (and can break down for you) the physiology of your issue.
Because Dr. Y is strictly a pelvic rehab specialist, no two patients get the same exact treatment. You plan of care is always customized to you.
Not only does Dr. Y have advanced trauma training, but as an occupational therapist, she is trained in the nervous system, mental health, and the roles these systems play in daily self-care tasks, which includes ensuring a safe, neuroaffirming space for all clientele.
Dr. Y has a terminal degree in occupational therapy. She has completed a rigorous post-professional program and adheres to the highest standards of her profession.
Dr. Y continues to participate in the advancement of her profession, presenting at local and national conferences, is featured on podcasts, and is recognized throughout the world as a specialist in gender-affirming pelvic health.
Dr. Y believes that occupational justice is at the core foundation of pelvic rehabilitation; everyone with a pelvis deserves to be seen by a specialist.
Encompass Pelvic Health understands the medical complexities of our current system, and works directly in network with insurance companies to make sure you are using your maximum benefits.
And finally, if nothing else, Dr. Y is a very passionate, compassionate healthcare provider of 13 years, with experience as a generalist occupational therapist before specializing in pelvic rehab in late 2020. She has experience in wound care, neurological care, and orthopedics, which sets her apart. She is the person you go to when your first few trials of pelvic rehab “didn’t work.”

We schedule all patients for a minimum of 12 visits. In the first 4 visits, we are going to relax your nervous system and educate you on your condition (there will be homework!) During the second set of 4 visits, we are going to retrain your body - and yes - more homework! And during the last set, we are going to ensure you are strong enough to maintain a functional, pain-free life, which is not going to feel like homework anymore because you will have established strong habits and routines to support your ongoing health.

We are currently in network with Anthem and Aetna and we are “certified out of network” with Tricare. We do require a minimum of 12 visits. Understanding your insurance benefits, including co-insurance, co-pays, and deductibles are your responsibility. Every patient is required to have a card on file before the first visit is scheduled. We do accept HSA/FSAs. For anyone outside of these insurers, we offer complementary superbill submission. We are happy to chat more about this with you during your inquiry call.
Mya says..."Compassionate and effective pelvic floor care during pregnancy I started seeing Dr. Yebra while I was pregnant. I was experiencing severe pain in my tailbone, hips, and pubic bone that was preventing me from doing normal activities or sitting comfortably. Susan treated me with care and compassion, taking extra precautions to make me feel comfortable and safe during our sessions. Over the course of my treatment, my pain improved significantly, and I was able to resume daily walks and sit with minimal discomfort. She even went above and beyond to teach my husband some assisted stretches we could do at home and during labor. I am incredibly grateful for her support and expertise during my pregnancy and would recommend her services to anyone looking for personalized and supportive pelvic floor therapy.”
Heather says...“I can’t say enough good things about Susan! I was very nervous reaching out for help postpartum, but she made the whole experience very comfortable and listened to everything I had to say. She prepared me for getting ready to go back to work and get back into exercising which I’m so grateful for!”
Katie says..“I cannot say enough amazing things about Susan at Encompass Pelvic Therapy. I’m currently pregnant and was dealing with pretty intense tailbone pain—to the point where sitting was really uncomfortable. After working with Susan, I felt relief almost immediately and was able to sit again with no pain, which honestly felt like a miracle.
Beyond that, she has been incredibly helpful in preparing me for labor. As a first-time mom, that guidance has been invaluable and gave me so much more confidence going into this next phase.
Susan truly knows what she’s doing. She’s knowledgeable, professional, and makes the entire experience feel so comfortable and supportive. I always felt at ease during our sessions, which makes such a difference, especially during pregnancy.
I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially expecting moms dealing with discomfort or looking to feel more prepared for labor!”
